Garden Path

Is in need of cleaning, etc., but I do love my native plants, and the pollinators that they attract.  This afternoon the thistles were visited by green hummingbirds, this morning goldfinches.

Cherry Tree Planter

Transplanted some perrinals from my one garden, that is in serious need of a redux, and placed them under the dwarf cherry tree.  So far I have planted coral belles, lambs ear, and a yellow tinged leaf petite hosta.  I'm hoping to still find a copper colored leaf coral belle at Lowes tomorrow :-)

This hosta is my favorite, love the white edges on the leaves.

Cherry tree

The cherry tree was covered in honeybees this afternoon, hopefully this means many cherries later this spring :-)  Am eagerly anticipating my first batch of sour cherry jam.

Circle Garden

Circle garden at the base of the crab apple, because you really shouldn't till close to the base of a tree, it once held strawberries but they kept escaping so I'm moving them elsewhere.

Rhutabega Blossoms

Rhutabega blossoms, my rhutabega's wintered over and are now blooming, they smell really sweet and quite similar to honeysuckle.

It's halfway decorated, I need to go to the attic and get more ornamets etc., this will have to wait until John gets home from work as there's a squirrel that lives up there and she thinks it's her territory! We name the squirrel trouble and NO she's not a pet!!!

Somewhere in this house is a large damask table cloth when I find it I'll put it under the quilt - Grandmother's Flower Garden pattern, it's probably 50 years or more old, all hand stitched and hand quilted. As you can see we did get my mother's china cabinet in the house, yeah, now John needs to fix the shelves so I can put my mother's china into the cabinet.

Rhubarb

So yesterday dh weeded my rhubarb and we decided that we'd make some rhubarb jam this morning. Well that didn't pan out as someone had made off with about half of my rhubarb plants, I'm still pissed off about this. There have been a LOT of things disappearing out of our lawn of late, pots, flowers, grapevines and now my rhubarb.

One lone blossom

I found one lone blossom had opened on my clematis vine out front the color of the blossoms is different every year and I'm not sure why.

Spring has Sprung!

The magnolias are in bloom here, a sure sign that summer is definately on it's way, finally!
